HALLOWEEN 2003

AL TALLER D'ANGLÈS EXTRAESCOLAR

It's a North-american tradition held the night of the 31st October, when the children are disguised as monsters, witches, ghosts and other horrible costumes (fancy dresses) and visit several houses saying "trick or treat"; if people don´t give sweets to the children, the latter play a joke on the former. It is also a tradition to empty pumpkins and put lit candles inside. Therefore, the light goes out through the eyes and mouth previously carved on the pumpkins. These head-pumpkins are used as decoration in the houses where children-games are celebrated.

To keep this original tradition, each child designs or brings a fancy-dress with frightening motifs. Then, we empty and light the pumpkins and we put them in the playground as decoration while we take a parade and we have a party with some food and beverages. Here you have the images of the celebration. We hope you terribly like them.
